Photo by Windsor Symphony Orchestra /Windsor StarThe Amherstburg Freedom Museum is hosting a pair of Windsor Symphony Orchestra concerts, part of February’s Black History Month celebrations.

Francisco Hernández Bolaños will conduct a Singing with Flo family concert on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Vocalist Florine Mdimubandi and the Windsor Essex Youth Choir will highlight the work of black composers, including music from Scott Joplin, Joseph Bologne and Oscar Peterson.

Additional performances will be held Saturday at 10 and 11:30 a.m., at the Capital Theatre.

Tickets are $5.

The second WSO Black History Month concert at the Amherstburg Freedom Museum takes place Feb. 23, with Korin Thomas-Smith Sings Mozart.

Maestro Robert Franz leads the WSO, performing music by 18th century composers Jean-Philippe Rameau and Joseph Cassaneà de Mondonville, while Thomas-Smith performs Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.

Performance time is 7:30 p.m.
